“We have been afforded a tremendous opportunity to continue our fight against children’s hunger in our community and thanks to Lee Roy Smith, executive director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Jim Ross of Fox Sports Network we will be able to touch hundreds of thousands of lives across the country,” states Bill Murdock, executive director of Eblen Charities. “When you are hungry, nothing else matters.”
“I am honored to be a part of the Headlock on Hunger team as there is nothing more important or rewarding than to help feed a child in need. Hunger will be pinned!” adds Jim Ross, WWE Hall of Fame broadcaster, Fox Sports contributor and creator of The Ross Report podcast.
“Wrestlers know the feeling of hunger, but for them it is choice, a sacrifice they make to be successful in competition. However, for millions of children in this country who go to bed hungry every night, it is not a choice,” remarks Lee Roy Smith, executive director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. “Hopefully the greater wrestling community in the United States will join our efforts to end hunger so that all children have the nourishment they need to develop into healthy successful adults.”
